All skill levels are welcome at Open Studio Art School. 

The only requirement for students is the desire to learn and challenge themselves. Classes are kept  small which allows for more one to one tuition in the group setting.   Weekly and term classes are held in a private studio in Rostrevor with short courses and social nights being held in various locations around Adelaide. 

Everyone can draw,  but improving skill requires commitment and practice.  Our classes focus on helping students to observe more closely,  in order to understand how to translate 3D subjects onto a 2D format such as paper or canvas. We encourage students to move beyond "symbolic drawing"  (what they know) toward more realistic representation  (what they see).

 We offer instruction in a variety of mediums including pencil, charcoal, watercolour, pastels, oils , acrylic, pen and gouache.
